In a humanitarian out reach in Tiko and Mutegene, South West Region of Cameroon, the Founder of the Not for Profit organization The Lord My Shepherd Foundation Peter Forikik has called on all goodwill ambassadors to reach out to the needy during special events of their lives. The US based humanitarian giant who decided to celebrate his birthday with orphans of the Dorcas Orphanage in Mutengene said his motive was the love he has for his best friends the underprivileged in motherless homes.
While Sharing the Happy Birthday Meal with the children, Uncle Peter as he is mostly called by his beneficiaries and partners, encouraged the children to believe in their ability to become world class leaders and influencers, stating that most great people around the world had challenges when growing up, by such, the challenges of the orphans should be a motivating factor for greatness as according to Uncle Peter, he could see ministers, ambassadors, governors and even presidents within them. This he said can only be made possible through their hard work in school. He promised them more gifts such as laptops as well as praying for them to become leaders after God’s heart that will lead the much needed change in our country Cameroon.
Mr Peter Forikik says he couldn’t celebrate his birthday anywhere else than the motherless baby home as that has always been the request of his son during his own birthday back in the United States of America, reason he had to get back home so as to fulfill the promised he gave his son during his birthday. His goal he said has always been to give the best of life to this category of people whom he considers very special people around the world.
”Today is my happiest day in my life, I have never spent my birthday like this and I am honored, blessed to be in Cameroon and spend this day with beautiful children like these ones. So I want to thank the lord for making me see this day. Should I die today, I would be a happy man because I have spent time with quality people in the world. These children giving me their time to sing with me, eat with me and dance with me, if I die today, I would die a happy man”.
My Peter Forikik says reaching out to the underprivileged is not an affair of people who have a lot of money. Rich people according to him are those with a kind heart willing to help others even with the little they have. ” You must not have millions in order to share with others, if you have 1000frs, you can decide to remove 200frs from that amount and share with people that do not have and I believe there is no way you would lack. I know a lot of people feel you must have millions in your bank account before you can help people, which is a wrong concept.”
The humanitarian rendered honor to his wife and children, team and partners for supporting the mission to Cameroon and making it a reality, while hailing the hard work of the executive and board members of The Lord My Shepard Foundation he announced future outreach programs in Buea and campaigns against diabetes and high blood with the objectives of promoting healthy living within the Cameroonian communities.
The Humanitarian caravan also reached the Orphanage of All Nations in Tiko, with the same message of hope and encouragement to the motherless children to stay positive and take action that will enable them become better leaders and citizens of Cameroon.
Nde Fru Angwafor, a partner to The Lord My Shepard Foundation said he was impressed by the good gestures of Uncle Peter, while feeling delighted that he decided to come home and share his birthday meal with the children, qualifying the act as uplifting, with much satisfactions derived in helping the needy while promising to always be present to assist him and the foundation
